Stuart Teel

Stuart Teel passed away with family members by his side, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital on April 11, 2019, in Sarasota, FL. He was born in Bradenton Florida on August 17, 1951. Stuart spent most of his life in Sarasota, Ft. Myers and England.

He was employed part time by T.J. Max and was a very active member of the Sarasota Baptist Church on Proctor Rd. He was loved by many of its members and especially loved attending Sunday School. He looked forward to joining family and friends at the annual Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Easter 2019, family and friends will pay special tribute to Stuart, with many memories and interesting stories. 

Stuart loved to travel. Among his adventures were Niagara Falls, U P Michigan and the Ark, in Kentucky. He was a very independent person and overcame many obstacles in his life. He loved life. He loved people and made friends no matter where he went.

Stuart is survived by many relatives (cousins, nieces and nephews) including his brothers, Paul Teel (Jeanne) of Bradenton, FL and Charles Teel (Cindy) of Waynesville, OH;  nieces Rebecca Cartee (Jarrod), their children Nate and Maize, Marshfield, MO; nephew Glen Teel (Crystal), their children Brett and Robin of DesMoines, IA. Nephews Sean Teel (Danielle) and their daughter Cori of Bradenton, FL; Randy Bordeau (Janet) of Venice, FL, their son Ryan Bordeau of Englewood, FL; nieces Kim Tomkinson, Sarasota; Terri Pullman (Bryan), their children Lyndsee Schopfers (David) their children Lylah, Rhys and Skylar Prettyman and David Roy of Sarasota; Allee (Cody) and their children Audree and Averee of Myakka City, FL.

A special thanks to John Bryd for his 25 years of dedication in assisting Stuart with special needs. Also, a special thanks to Tom, his care giver and roommate. John and Tom made Stuart’s life easier, not to mention our lives. They will always have a special place in our hearts and we love them as family.
