Stephanie Jo (Imel) Maisano, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on February 1, 2025, after a long battle with COPD. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Stephanie was born on April 7th, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to her parents, Franklin and Mary Imel. She grew up in Evansville, Indiana and attended F. J. Reitz High School.
Following her passion for singing, she sang in the Reitz choir and in several Evansville area bands. Her greatest joy was singing in church and worshiping Jesus.
Later, she moved to Florida with her son Nicholas and worked at Universal Studios in Orlando. For the last 20+ years she has lived in the Sarasota, Florida area.
Stephanie was a beautiful person, bringing joy and kindness to all who knew her. She was a woman of great faith and was always encouraging others with scriptures and prayers. She is survived by her son Nicholas Andrews, her brothers Aaron (Melanie) Imel and Matthew (Chris) Imel, and several nieces and nephews. Stephanie was preceded in death by her Mother and Father and an infant sister, Kim. Although she will be greatly missed, our grief and sorrow is overshadowed by the knowledge that she is alive and rejoicing in Heaven and we will see her again!
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Stephanie's life was greatly impacted by the worship ministry of Steve Swanson. If you would like to give a gift in memory of Stephanie, you may use Steve's ministry website:
