Rosalind Joan Wegryn

Rosalind Joan Haber (Dombey) Wegryn was called to heaven on 10/9. She was born to Charles and Renee Haber of Queens New York on 4/27/36. ‘Roz’ attended The High School of Music and Arts as a voice major, which gave her an opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall. She attended St. Lawrence University and Bucknell University from which she graduated in 1956 with a special degree in Commerce and Finance.
She was married to Daniel Dombey and later to Dr. Stanley Wegryn. Roz and Stanley built the Wegryn Medical Center on Sanibel Island.
She loved to write music and was once on To Tell The Truth where two of her songs were performed. In Florida Rosalind became very involved with her church and wrote several songs expressing her personal passion and faith.
Roz leaves behind her daughters Bonita (Gary Moore) and Naomi Ratner, and the son she and Stanley adopted, Sebastian (DeWayne Musick). There are grandchildren Justin, Kara and Brad Ratner, and four great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters Susan Goldberg and Judith Ruzicka.
Rosalind’s funeral service and burial will be at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Fort Myers FL on 10/22 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations are requested for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Harry Chapin Food Bank.
