Robert Glenn Brunk

Robert Glenn Brunk (October 23, 1946 - August 17, 2026) was born in Springfield, Illinois to Glenn Harmon and Irene Mary Brunk. From Springfield, Bob moved to various places including Oklahoma City, Virginia Beach, and Sarasota, Florida. His time was often spent on the water whether sailing or fishing. He also loved riding his Harley or cruising around in his Corvette. Bob liked to keep busy and had many other hobbies including crafting moonshine, which he happily shared with friends at his infamous parties. He also had an artistic side, and enjoyed making various leather products and homemade sausage, as well as other culinary delights. Bob lived life on his terms, which often led to interesting adventures, many of them shared with his best friend, Bill, and his family. Bob worked for Sarasota County and thoroughly enjoyed what he did and all of his colleagues. He valued good conversation and was loved by many.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Seabrook (Jim) and Amy Natt, and his five grandchildren, Garrett, Maryann, Griffin, James and Gavin. He is also survived by his two sisters, Barbara and Christine, and their extended families. His daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, died in infancy. In lieu of a service, a gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
