Regina A. Graham Accountant and leader of Church Investments, a life-long resident of Frankton, Indiana died of natural causes on Thursday, September 2nd at the age of eighty while spending time with her granddaughter, Kaley Graham. "Gina" is survived by her brother, Bob Ashton. Her beloved son, Michael Charles Graham, and his wife, Lou Ellen Graham. She leaves behind her seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren who all call her Mommom. Gina was born in Anderson, Indiana on July 27th, 1941 to Herbert G. Ashton and Melissa Lowe.
She graduated with the highest honors as Valedictorian of her class at Indiana Business College with a degree in Accounting. She was a leader of Church Investments at First Christian Church in Frankton, Indiana. She was a financial advisor at the Board of Church Extension and Home Missions at the Church of God. In addition, she worked in a paramount industry in the city of Anderson, Anaconda Wire & Cable. It was here that she pioneering the use of computer accounting in the payroll division where she worked. She was a progressive female who led the way in innovative computer accounting.
On August 27th, 1960 , Gina married Charlie who was her devoted high school sweetheart. He went on to found Graham Glass Inc., was active with the United Auto Workers Union and retired from General Motors. They had the love of a lifetime. In the following years, they welcomed their beautiful son and daughter who were the most important part of their lives. He was the love of her life.
Gina was a devoted mother and avid reader. She was a deeply spiritual woman and was involved in the coordination of many church activities. An inspiring visionary, she organized many auxiliary nights at her church. She hosted game nights and bingo and loved to worship God. Gina was enigma, a woman ahead of her time. As an empowered female, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, a global revolution for women. She was a proud Red Hatter and a true lady. An exemplary woman molded by her Alma Mater College. Loved by all, she will be missed by friends, family, colleagues, and all those who knew her.
An exquisite funeral service filled with divine grace is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on September 27th at 100 Church located on Tamiami Trail. Pastor Cheryl Reber will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered to her family and sent to 3639 Madagascar Ave. North Port, FL 34286.
