Philip G. Le Fer of Sarasota, FL passed away on January 3, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Born on December 3, 1954 in La Rochelle, France. He immigrated to the United States with his mother and 2 brothers, Christian and Alan, as a child and graduated from West Morris Central High School in Chester, NJ in 1972.
He is survived by his children, Sophie (Donald) Flinton, Adrien Le Fer; grand-children Jordan and Justin Flinton; life partner, Charlotte 'Babe' Small and close family; nieces & nephew Kelly Le Fer, Wendy (Augustin) Vera and Christian Le Fer Jr; as well as his sister-in-law, Danielle Le Fer.
He was predeceased by his late wife, Pascale Le Fer, his mother, Germain Le Fer and his brothers Alan Le Fer and Christian Le Fer, Sr.
Philip's stomping grounds as a child was Budd Lake and he made lifelong friends there. After his time in the French Army, he fell in love with a young St Brevins’ curly haired girl, Pascale. By 1980 he was married with 2 small children and decided to move back to the States. Deciding on New Jersey initially, then the Poconos and finally to his homestead of Sarasota, FL in 1989.
He was a dedicated worker in the trucking field and also in construction later in his life. You could catch him at 'The Hut' every week for the Nascar picks and a few beers. He was an avid boater and even had a time being the owner of the infamous sail boat 'The Barnacle' from the movie Summer Rental.
He will be remembered and loved forever in our hearts.
