Michael B. Bergman

Michael Bergman passed away peacefully on March 5, 2023, holding the hand of Rosalind, his beloved wife of 60 years, whom he met at Rutgers University when they were teenagers. Born on May 19, 1943 to David and Beatrice Bergman, Michael grew up in his hometown of Newark. NJ. His career as a retail pharmacist served as a perfect vehicle for him to share his compassion, and he often volunteered for community health and education programs. Family, friends and customers were drawn to his generosity and sense of humor, and he was always ready with a kind word or a joke to brighten someone's day. Michael enjoyed many hobbies and pursuits over the course of his life. He earned his black belt in karate, ghost wrote several novels, and wrote and produced an off-Broadway play. His artistic explorations included cooking, painting, tie dye and macramé. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Michael is survived by his wife Rosalind, son Jeffrey, daughter Sheryl (Tato), sister Susan Bell (Larry), grandsons Alex and Benjamin, and several nieces and nephews.
