Marsha Terry New

Marsha Terry New, 74, of North Port, Florida passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2024 after a long illness.

 

Marsha was born on February 13, 1949 in Long Beach, NY to Sidney and Deborah Simon. She grew up with her brother Joel and was close with her paternal grandparents Blanche and Milton Simon. 

 

Marsha went to nursing school and rose through the ranks to become a nursing supervisor before retiring. She lived, and practiced nursing, in New York, Virginia and Texas before coming to Florida where she lived in Miami before settling in North Port.

 

Marsha loved her animals, gardening and enjoyed visiting family back in New York so she could sit on the beach where she spent her childhood.

 

She was a loving wife, daughter, cousin, aunt and will forever be in our hearts. She is survived by her husband Tim New and various other family. A private family memorial service will be held at a future date.
