Marsha Perry Juday, 72, passed away peacefully at home in Bradenton, FL on January 31, 2025. The daughter of Mel Perry and Barbara (Eva) Perry O’Brien, she was born and raised in Plainville, CT. Marsha was born into a musical family, and it was no surprise to any of them that she continued to foster her gift of music by playing the piano, euphonium, recorder, and singing. She earned music education degrees from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and West Virginia University. An elementary music teacher for 40 years, Marsh used music to touch the lives of many in the community. She spent 31 of those years teaching in Manatee County, FL at Blackburn and Gene Witt Elementary Schools. Marsha enjoyed performing as part of local community bands, church choirs, and recorder groups and was a lifelong learner of all things music education. She also shared her gift of music as a member of Peace Presbyterian Church.
Marsha is survived by her loving husband Bob, to whom she was married for over 28 years. She also leaves her children David Weigand (wife Audra) of Morgantown, WV, Elisabeth Deavers (husband Robert) of Culpeper, VA, Darcy Juday of Kaukauna, WI, and Sarah Doyle (husband David) of Bushnell, FL. She was also a beloved Nanie to her 8 grandchildren: Logan Doyle, Lane Doyle, Lillie Bonnell, Graham Deavers, Emily Weigand, Owen Deavers, Danny Weigand, and Billy Weigand. In addition, she is survived by her brother Stephen Perry (wife Sharon Dennison) of Ocean City, MD, sister Jane Perry of Kennebunk, ME, and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service honoring her life and love will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 22nd at Peace Presbyterian Church in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
