Karl Andrade

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Karl Andrade, longtime resident of Sarasota, FL, who passed away May 20, 2021.

 

Karl graduated from culinary school in New York City and enjoyed a successful career as a restaurant manager in some of the finest establishments in both New York and Sarasota. He was also a beloved entertainer in the Sarasota area for many years—known especially for his beautiful renditions of Italian songs from the 50’s and 60’s. He especially adored his grandson, into whose life he brought the riches of music and laughter.

 

Karl is survived by his daughter Jennifer Andrade, grandson Joey Chiarovano, stepdaughter Jeanette Cardoso, brother Hal Andrade, sisters-in-law Anita and Sheila Andrade, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

 

His zest for life and beautiful voice will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Karl served honorably in the US Army and is being laid to rest with military honors.

 

The service will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd. 72 at 2:30 PM on Thursday June 24.
