It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julia Molloy Eisele on October 12, 2024, at the age of 79. Julie was born on September 22, 1945 in Baton Rouge, LA, to Logan (Pat) and Helen Molloy.
Julie grew up in the small town of Crosby, MS and graduated from Gloster High School in 1963 and continued her studies to earn her bachelor’s from Mississippi University for Women. She later attended and graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) with her master’s degree in Education.
Julie’s passion was in education. She was a co-author of Direct Instruction and worked with children and taught reading to students with traumatic brain injuries. She also worked with teachers on a school-wide project to improve academic achievement, helping teachers to develop their teachings skills, to reach out to at-risk students, and to enhance their classroom-management skills.
She had an amazing love for art and flowers. She was a talented artist, especially with water colors. She spent her free time at the Church of the Redeemer of Sarasota as a proud member of the Flower Committee, where she further put her artistic vision to work to showcase the most elegant of floral arrangements for the church.
Preceded in joining the Lord: Mother & Daddy.
