Joseph Scott Fadley passed away in Venice FL, on April 7th after a very brief illness at the age of 41.
Joe met the love of his life, Rachel in 2003 when she took one look at his beautiful blue eyes and was unable to resist. The two spent the first 14 years of their lives together in Virginia where they built their life and started their family. The love for the ocean brought Joe and his beautiful family to Venice, Florida to live out their dream life by the beach. He had never been happier; enjoying sunsets, drinking cold Budweiser, walking the beaches and swimming in the ocean searching for shark teeth.
A diehard Ohio State football and wrestling fan, one was likely to see Joe decked out in OSU gear and singing their fight song. No matter his geographic location, Joe loved to remind others that OSU was the best college football team and he wouldn't allow you to say otherwise.
Joe’s sense of humor bordered on “wise ass” but those that knew him well, would tell you he was always the most sensitive and loving person in the room. His stories, dad jokes and crass mouth are cherished and will bring smiles and laughter for years to come.
A standout father who would do anything for his children including coaching football, Brayden’s personal wrestling coach, watching the history channel with Chase, teaching his children to be ‘passionate’ monopoly players, and of course dancing with his favorite daughter, Haylee while making his legendary burgers. We can’t forget about Joe’s most loyal friend, his dog Baby. While there was love at first sight when Joe and Rachel met, the real love story is when Joe stumbled across Baby at a Virginia animal shelter and an unbreakable bond was formed.
Joe is survived by his wife, Rachel Fadley and their three children, Chase Michael age 15, Haylee Ann age 13 and Brayden Scott age 11, his parents, Moe and Ann Champion, Lee and Debbie Baker, his siblings, Patrick (Miranda), Brande (Mark), Jennifer, Autumn, Ariel, Erich (Kristen), Diana (Colin), Becca (Kevin), Callie (Trey) and several nieces and nephews. Joe’s spirit will live on through his beautiful children and the families they will raise of their own.
A celebration of life will be planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the college fund of Joe’s children to the following address:
