Joseph J Meloni

Joseph James Meloni, affectionately known as Joe, passed away on June 14th, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on March 1st, 1951 to Rose Rita Meloni and Joseph Paul Meloni, Joe brought joy and laughter to everyone they met.
Joe was a respected veteran, a guardian ad litem and built a long term career as a Pit Boss and Floor Manager at the Claridge Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he worked for 25+ years.
Beyond his professional life, Joe was prided for being an excellent life partner, father, son, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend; he was always full of laughter and always enjoyed good humor in his life. Many looked up to Joe for his textbook knowledge and wisdom, often being known to friends and family as someone they could always count on for advice.
Joe was a passionate person, who enjoyed sharing many dinners surrounded by loved ones. He loved living in Florida, in Weeki Wachee and later in Venice where he spent his last years enjoying being by or on the water where he was able to participate in a number of water activities including boating and fishing. Joe was also an avid animal lover, racquet ball player, golfer, bowler, and cyclist.
Joe spent 28+ wonderful years married to Patricia Meloni, who sadly passed on June 11th, 2007 and following some time alone with family, was blessed to love again and be able to spend the last 15+ years of his life dedicated to his wife and partner Grace Dawson.
Joe leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and is survived by his daughters, Allison Meloni and Lauren Meloni, wife Grace Dawson, and sisters Jeannette Collins and Rita Wiggins.
