James Wilson Crain Jr.

James (“Jim”) Wilson Crain, Jr., 60, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on November 15, 2025. Born on August 5, 1965, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he spent his life in Florida and built his career as an entrepreneur and businessman. Jim was known for his sharp mind, quick humor, and his knack for working smarter rather than harder. He lived life independently and on his own terms.

Jim is survived by his children, Erica Ann Allen and James Wilson Crain III, as well as his siblings Kay Crain and Jason Crain. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Crain, Sr. and Ronnalyn Hepburn Crain, and his sister, Sabrina Crain.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant (7950 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231), with a reception to follow.
