It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jack Mason, beloved husband, father and friend, on January 16, 2026, in Sarasota, Florida. Jack was born on December 18, 1927, to Edith and Milton Mason in Brooklyn, New York. Survivors include his devoted wife of 50 years, Stella, loving sons Jesse (Robin), and Robert (Kate), and Loving grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Robert, and son, Michael.
Jack attended the Insurance Information Institute of New York and enjoyed a successful career as an Insurance Broker with Marsh & McLennan in NYC for many years before moving to Sarasota in 1973 to be close to his parents. He was a District Manager with the Sarasota Journal and Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
Jack loved animals, classical music, football, tools and classic cars. He was the consummate fix it man and was delighted to repair any and all items for family and friends. Jack had a lifetime love of the water - diving, snorkeling, lobstering, clamming (Shinnecock Bay)--even navigating his boat to Bimini. He was passionate about animals, especially dogs All family pets were rescues. He never met a dog he didn't like. Jack was a unique and wonderful loving, kind and sensitive man.

Friends and family are invited to attend Jack's Memorial Service on Saturday, February 21 , 2026, at 11 AM, at Sarasota Christian Church, 2923 Ashton Road, Sarasota FL 34231 (941) 924-0107, followed by a celebration of Jack's Life. All are welcome. Your Traditions is handling arrangements.
