George’s career was spent in the food service industry, beginning at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA and La Costa Hotel & Spa in Carlsbad, CA. In Southwest Florida, he worked as a chef for the Audubon Country Club and Pelican Isle Yacht Club before moving into catering with Matthews & Gardner Caterers. Before retirement, he had a years-long loyal following as a private chef.
Funeral arrangements include a celebration of life at a later date.
