Elise Ann Amaral, 59, was born November 5, 1963 in Sarasota FL and passed away July 4, 2023 at her home in Sarasota. She was predeceased by her parents Eugene J. and Patricia K. Amaral. She is survived by her brothers Eugene, David and Michael Amaral; nieces Angela Ehrman, Michelle Mojica, Melissa and Leslie Amaral; nephews Michael Christopher and Colton Amaral; cousins Tim Danahey; Diane Metcalf; Jordan Carreira; Jeannine Charest; John and Cathy Amaral; Aileen Amey; Ellen, Rick, Melissa and Maureen Gomes; Tiffany Pendl; Andrew, Janet and Trish Carlson; John and Jan Munn; and Marilyn Franck.
Elise grew up in Ft. Lauderdale FL but returned for her senior year graduating from Sarasota High School. She acquired an AA degree from Manatee Community College and later trained as a massage therapist, practicing as a licensed massage therapist for over 30 years.
She enjoyed caring for animals and traveling in Europe, Mexico, New England and the western U.S. Love of music and dance was her passion in life. Her many talents included flamenco dancing and performing on vocals, violin, percussion and native American flutes with the world music group Latin Rendezvous. Elise’s beauty, talent, easy-going, loving nature will be remembered and missed by family, friends and all who attended her performances.
Memorial services will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, 3975 Fruitville Rd. on August 5, 2023 at 4:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tidewell Hospice and the Susan G. Komen Foundation will be appreciated.
