Dr. Alan Lee Rodda

Heaven welcomed Dr. Alan Lee Rodda home on Thursday evening, August 12, 2021, with his family at his side. Alan was born on November 5, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio, to Naomi Akers Rodda and Charles Lee Rodda. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; daughter Julie (Shannon) McDougal; son Brian (Debbie) Rodda; step-daughter Anne (Hans) Pfitzer; grandchildren Emily (Jake) Rada, Gavin McDougal, Alyssa McDougal, Lauren Rodda, Kaley Rodda, Megan Rodda, Laura Pfitzer and Mia Pfitzer; sister Nancy (Steve) Fowler as well as several extended relatives and many friends.
Alan graduated high school in Walla Walla, WA; completed his Bachelors Degree at Northwestern Nazarene University in Nampa, ID; completed his Masters of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO; and completed his PhD in Organizational Psychology at University of California, Berkely. Throughout his life, Alan worked both as a Pastor and as a professional consultant in organizational and leadership development with Fortune 100 and 500 corporations, as well several federal government agencies. Alan was a kind and caring man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Church of the Palms in Sarasota, FL (3224 Bee Ridge Rd) on Tuesday, August 17 th at 10:00 am.
