PALANZA, Doris M. Of North Easton, MA, 96 passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026 at the Gardens of North Port Assisted Living in North Port, FL.
A lifelong resident of North Easton, MA, Dori grew up on Seaver Street and later raised her children and grandchild on Reynolds Street. She was deeply proud of her English heritage and her roots as a native of Easton, where she remained connected to childhood friends throughout her life. For many years she taught preschool, work she approached with great dedication and pride. An avid runner, she carried a quiet vitality that extended into her love of dancing, the beach, and even the drama of a good storm. She had a distinctive sense of fashion and took joy in creating a home she loved to decorate and care for.
In recent years, Dori cherished the time she spent on Florida’s Gulf Coast with her two daughters, Jeanne and Dee — years filled with closeness and memories they will hold forever. She shared a special bond with her grandson Lucas, whom she affectionately called “Luca.” She and her late husband, Richy, delighted in attending his sports games, and she often told stories of him to family and friends. Dori also held deep affection for Richy’s large family — he was one of 15 children, and Dori embraced her many brothers- and sisters-in-law, most of whom lived nearby in Mansfield.
Dori is survived by her daughters Jeanne Roberts Palanza of Englewood, FL and Doriann “Dee” Palanza McLaughlin and her husband Lawrence “Chuck” McLaughlin of Englewood, FL, grandson Lucas Palanza McLaughlin of Austin, TX, niece Christine White Pina and her husband Nicholas Pina, Jr. of N. Falmouth, nephew Peter “PJ” White of Ashburn, Virginia, and grandniece Kathryn Claire Reusch and her husband AJ Reusch of Andover.
Dori was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Palanza, her parents Pelham James Treleaven and Lilian Ismay Roberts of Cornwall, England, and her sister Grace White Sallet.
A celebration of Dori’s life will be held on Sunday, August 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Corfinio Italian Wood Fired Grill, 285 Washington Street, North Easton, MA 02356. The gathering will be casual and welcoming; guests are invited to dress comfortably and respectfully.
