Dianna Gay Hoeppner, age 67, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026 surrounded by family.
Born on May 3, 1959 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Dianna was the beloved daughter of Basil and Geraldine Voyles. Her family moved to Sarasota, Florida when she was in grade school. She was united in marriage to Kevin Hoeppner and they shared 46 wonderful years. Throughout her life, she was known for her incredible kindness, generosity, determination, strong work ethic, and above all her unconditional love for her family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, Gigi, and friend.
She dedicated 37 years to the United States Postal Service before retiring. Although she didn’t get nearly as many years of retirement as she deserved, she made the most of the five years she had. She especially loved traveling and cruising with her family. She had a talent for finding the best deals and planning wonderful family vacations, and her family often joked that she could have been a travel agent with the way she coordinated every detail. The many trips and adventures they shared over her final years will forever be treasured memories.
Dianna never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and many times a simple wait in line would turn into a conversation with a new friend. She also loved reminiscing and telling funny family stories. Her family may have heard some of those stories a hundred times, but she was such a wonderful storyteller that they were always worth hearing again.
Above all, Dianna loved her family deeply, and the love, kindness, and strength she gave them throughout her life will continue to be her legacy.
She was preceded in death by her father Basil Voyles, and her brother, Jerry Voyles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Hoeppner; her daughters, Crystal Rice and Danielle Hoeppner; her three beloved grandchildren, Jaxon, Colton, and Davis; her mother, Geraldine Voyles; her brother, James Voyles; and her sisters, Terri Patrick and Debrah Siford. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Her family will forever cherish the countless memories they shared with her and carry her love with them wherever they go. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered for the incredible woman she was.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of their choice in her memory.
