David Scott Ferraro, age 53, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, in Venice, Florida, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ann McNulty Ferraro. They shared nearly twenty-five years of marriage together.
Born in Santa Cruz, California, he was the son of Diana Ferraro. He attended Newtown (CT) High School and was employed by the Town of Newtown, and most recently by the Sarasota (FL) County School District.
Dave was a member of South Britain Congregational Church, where he served as a Deacon, a Church School teacher, and a member of the Pastoral Search Committee. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a fun uncle, and a true friend. Dave was the first to lend a hand to a friend in need. Hobbies were cooking, boating, and all types of motor vehicles, from motorcycles to monster trucks. He was a prankster who loved to make people laugh.
David is survived by his wife, Ann, beloved sons, Tyler (Alexandra) Ferraro, and Trevor (Jennifer) Ferraro, his mother, Diana Ferraro, a brother, Ron Swift, and a sister, Robin Nascimento. David is predeceased by his brother, Michael Swift and his grandmother, Madeline Grafton.
Services and interment will be arranged privately by the family at a later time.
