David G. Cooper, 84, of Sarasota, Fl passed away peacefully on December 26, 2019. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on July 30, 1935 to Charles and Mildred Cooper. He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War. Upon his discharge he attended Syracuse University and received a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He worked as an architect in Vermont and a contractor in Naples, FL.
He is survived by his beloved wife Pamela, three sons Kevin, Jonathan and Stephen; two grandchildren Nicholas and Ingrid.
After his retirement, David went on a ten year quest to find the ancient keys to inner peace. He often called himself the Playful Explorer and experienced many indigenous people and cultures. He was most attracted to Bali and lived there for 10 years. He was a healer and teacher of the ancient wisdom to find inner peace. He often placed “little wisdom cards” in the hands of clerks, nurses or cashiers that he met along his journey through life.
He loved sailing, photography, traveling, and writing. He authored three books, the latest titled “The Mystical Love Story of the Mariner”.
