Cathy Knox Panasuk, 69, died on 25 July 2021 in Bradenton, Florida. She was born October 6, 1951, in Middletown, CT, the daughter of John Knox and Mary Lisi.
Cathy graduated from Valley Regional High School in 1969, RN from Joseph Lawrence School of Nursing, New London, CT in 1973, BA in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, CT in 1977, OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner from Mt. Sinai Hospital, Hartford, CT in 1980, MS in Human Relations from Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, CT in 1982. Cathy last worked at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, heading the Home Health Psychiatric Nursing Program.
Cathy married Michael Panasuk on March 31, 1978. They lived in CT, CA, and TN before moving to Bradenton, FL in 2014.
Cathy loved animals, reading, and was an avid fan of the UCONN women’s basketball team and the New York Yankees. Her wonderful sense of humor always brought a smile to everyone’s face.
Cathy was predeceased by her father. Besides her husband Michael, she is survived by her mother, Mary Stevens of Bradenton, two sisters, Judy Everett of Bradenton, and Lee Barry of Panama City, FL. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and two nephews.
According to Cathy's wishes, there will be no services. Donations can be made in her name to the ASPCA.
