Boyd Delbert Frizzell, Jr. unexpectedly passed away in Englewood, FL on November 1st,
2020 at the age of 65.
Boyd lived a zealous life full of constant ambition and projects. Although he
appreciated his privacy and kept to himself, he also immediately made friends
everywhere he went, charming folks with his comedy and boisterous laughter. Always
seeing the bright side of things with his glass half full, he approached life with a hearty
enjoyment, striving to shower those around him with happiness and perhaps a little
entertainment.
Boyd loved the water, specifically the Gulf Coast of Florida. Being a man of many
projects, at the time of his passing he was working on restoring an antique house boat
with hopes to live on it, living out his dream life. This idea was probably so attractive to
him as he was a bit of a vagabond, always traveling, finding and creating work for
himself.
Speaking of work, Boyd’s biggest passion in life was probably one of his many inventions
and ambition to always work for himself. An extremely intelligent and talented
individual, Boyd held many promising positions and executed countless ideas that lead
to fruitful endeavors. A ‘Jack of Many Trades’ he always worked for himself, and there
was nothing he couldn’t do; and if he didn’t know how to, he figured it out or invented
his own way of doing it. Anything from replacing engines in cars and boats, home
remodeling, boat restoration, BBQ grills, theater seating, and custom stone sinks and
faucets, to list a few things he put his mind to over the years.
He met his former wife, Kelly Kowalski 38 years ago in FL, where they married and had
five children together. As the years went on they went separate ways, but there is no
doubt around the love they still shared for each other and the love Boyd had for his
children. He especially enjoyed giving his children exuberant experiences and trips,
which they now cherish having had with him. His drive to always work for himself
helped influence his children, as every one of them have gone into business for
themselves!
Boyd is survived by his five children and 15 grandchildren, Rheanna (Scott)
Scharenbroch and their daughter Phoenix (newborn), Kambrie Frizzell and her four
children Jaelynn Eagle Boy (13), Madalie Eagle Boy (10), Eliza Merkel (6), and Bain
Merkel (5), Boyd III (Kathy) Frizzell and their five children Boyd IV (11), Amelia (9), Audrey
(6), Marshall (4), Estelle (9 months), Chalene (Jhonny) Sabino and their three children
Lucas (6), Emanuel (4), and Josiah (1), and Brandon (Joely) Frizzell and their two
children Brandon II (10), and Sawyer (7), his Mother, Betty Frizzell, and siblings Mike,
Todd, Chuck, and Sheryl, along with his nieces and nephews Josh, Haley, Charlie,
Daniel, and Jesse. Boyd’s spirit will live on through his beautiful children and their
families they will raise.
