Alfred Martin Hirsch

Alfred Martin Hirsch passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home in Sarasota, Florida. His wife, Marilyn, was with him.
Al and Marilyn moved to Sarasota 12 years ago, after living in St. Augustine, Florida for eight years. They moved to Florida from Long Branch, New Jersey, when Al retired.
He was a geologist and received his Ph.D. from Rutgers New Jersey. He taught for ten years at Rutgers and then went on to Management at two consulting firms. He retired as Vice President of Woodward Clyde Consultants, where he worked for many years.
Al will be remembered fondly for his offbeat sense of humor, his huge heart, and his love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his son, Andrew, and stepson, Ron, granddaughter, Alana Ray, daughter-in-law, Christina, and his cousin Lutz.
